Re: Help with starting the example

The Windows binaries of Dynare 4.2.4 are not compatible with Octave 3.4.3. You need to install Octave 3.2.4 located here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/octave/files/Octave_Windows%20-%20MinGW/Octave%203.2.4%20for%20Windows%20MinGW32%20Installer/ For ...

Re: eps files made by Octave are faulty

This is a bug in Octave 3.2.4.

The problem disappears with Octave 3.4.3. Try to upgrade, there are compiled versions of Octave 3.4.3 for Windows there: http://wiki.octave.org/wiki.pl?OctaveForWindows

Best,

Re: Error in "union(var_obs_index'" in Dynare 4.2.2

You should remove dynare 3 from your path (to use the matlab/octave implementation). This can be done by issuing the following command in matlab: rmpath D:\Quant\Dynare\dynare_v3\matlab I don't remember if this command has permanent effect. You can also ...

Re: starting dynare++

... Dynare++? You don't need to add any path for Dynare++: all you need is to launch the executable from a DOS command prompt (and not from MATLAB or Octave!). Also, it is normal if nothing is displayed in the screen: Dynare++ puts all its results in files (log file, result file...). See the Dynare++ ...

Re: problems in reading mat files with octave

How did you create the MAT file? I guess something is wrong with the way you created it, since Octave is able to load MAT files. Also note that you are running a very old version of Dynare (4.0.4), you should upgrade to the latest (4.2.2). Your version of Octave is also ...
