Reporting the value of the likelihood

Postby dcreal » Sun Jul 23, 2006 3:14 am

Is there a simple way to find the value of the likelihood for a model at a fixed value of the parameters? In other words, I am wondering if Dynare has a function to solve the model, compute the likelihood, and then report it for a fixed set of parameters.

Thanks in advance for any help!

This will be possible in Dynare version 4. I still have to check the exact syntax.

I will be back to you.

I have updated version 3 and version 4 on SVN (available in tomorrow snapshot) so as to report the posterior value (or the likelihood) without attempting estimation with the following options:
mh_replic=0
mode_compute=0
and don't indicate any mode_file
