Aborted Metropolis

Postby jmaih » Sat Jul 29, 2006 1:59 pm

Hi Michel,
Is it already possible to recover from aborted Metropolis somehow? Suppose for some reason (power cut or computer reboot) the simulation stops before the number of iterations is reached. Is it possible to instruct dynare to continue the simulation starting where it was ended?

Thanks,
Junior

Hi Junior,

1) Tell me exactly how your runs are damaged. How many chains? Which chains are incomplete, by howmuch?
2) save whatever you have from your aborted Metropolis run in a backup directory
3) run again your Metropolis job with load_mh_file
4) tell me how it goes

Best

Michel
