How to save .mod ?

Postby jens81 » Sun Aug 23, 2009 4:11 pm

Dear all,
sorry for my stupid question.
My dynare (Matlab, version 3...) is now working, however, I can only execute files that I did not save myself.
I can run all examples etc, but I can not create own ones. Even if I open an example-file and change a parameter slightly (and then save it), it does no longer work. The way I save it is as unicode with .mod suffix. I always get
a syntax error in the line where I wrote stoch_simul.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

This is pretty strange. It probably comes from your editor.

Try to use another editor, or post the MOD file which triggers the crash.

You are also strongly encouraged to switch to Dynare 4, which is faster and well-tested now. Dynare 3 is no longer actively supported.

Best,
