interpreting mode_check graph

Postby jill1009 » Sun Feb 27, 2011 7:45 pm

Hi,
When I use the mode_check command, there are big red dots at the x axis in some graph. What does that mean?

Thanks,
Ji

Hi, These dots are for the values of the deep parameters such that the deterministic steady state does not exist (or such that Dynare is not able to compute the steady state if you do not provide a steadystate file to dynare) or such that the BK conditions are not satisfied.

Best, Stéphane.
