Dynare forums

Hello I am new to Dynare. I will be working with something similar to the common Gali and Monacelli (2005)model so I downloaded a mod file from a previous post just to get used to how the program works. I ran into an error. I downloaded a few more mod files from different posts and all ended with the same error.
Error in ==> dynare at 132
evalin('base',fname) ;

I will attach the mod file that was said to be working by another user. Any idea what is causing the crash or is there any way to have Dynare output a more specific error message? I am on Dynare 4.2.0 and Matlab 7. Thank you!

I am using Matlab 7 and Dynare 4.1.3 and it works fine with your mod file.

Did you read the Quick start page on our website?

I switched to 4.1.3 and it works now. Thank you.
