steady state distribution

When I output a steady state variable, I see from oo._MeanForecast.distribution that the mean, median,... are all the same number as the one in the oo_.steady_state. I wonder as steady state variable is a function of the estimated parameters, why doesn't it have a distribution as the estimated parameters do? BTW, I did the estimation with mh. Thanks a lot for help.
