Already Log-linearized model

Postby Jimbo » Sun Dec 23, 2012 6:51 pm

Hello everybody,

I just need somebody to confirm me that if I have already loglinearized my model by hand, and then I plug it in dynare, the only thing that I have to do to make it run is to specify near to the command model, model (linear).

Is it true and is it enough???

Thank you in advance and sorry for the silly question but I really need to be sure that this is the proper way to solve an already log linearized model.

I truly appreciate your engagement in this forum, thanks!!!

You should always have
Code: Select all
steady;
check;

after your model. Apart from that, using linear speeds things up, but is not required. If your model is linear, it is always good to put it there.
