oo_ mat file error message question

When running a .mod file the oo_ file cannot be saved. I get the following error message.
"Warning: Variable 'oo_' cannot be saved to a MAT-file whose version is older than 7.3.
To save this variable, use the -v7.3 switch."
Does this problem have to do with the matlab version or the dynare version, or could it be caused by some other problem?
