No mean and standard deviation are reported

Postby Dave » Wed Apr 24, 2013 7:59 am

Dear All,

I am simulating a relatively large model and receiving the following problem. The BK condition is satisfied but dynare does not report the means and standard deviations for the endogenous variables (NaN). I also get the following error message: All endogenous are constant or non stationary, not displaying correlations and auto-correlations.

Any idea on this? Thanks.

Kind regards,
Dave

Please post the mod-file. Also check whether a shocks-block is specified and you use order=1 or pruning in stoch_simul.

Hi jpfeifer,

Thank you for your help.

I "fixed" the problem by adjusting one parameter (Mub on line 100 in the attached mod file). Initially I set it equals 0.0001 to avoid possible "diving zero".

But I still have another issue with extremely large s.d.s for some variables, which in my case it is variable "mu_f". If you run the code you will see the problem, even for variable "t". Can it be the reason that I have a number of parameters are set to 0.0002, 0.0005...? or due to some other reasons?

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards,
Dave
