Saving Dynare-calculated steady states

Postby akeinsley » Sun Jul 21, 2013 4:04 pm

Hello,

This seems like a rather trivial question, but I can't seem to figure out how to save my initial steady state values that are calculated through Dynare. I'm running a deterministic simulation with a permanent shock, so I have initial and end steady state values, but Dynare only seems to save the last of the steady states. Any ideas?

Thanks!

It should be saved in "oo_.steadystate"

That's what I thought at first as well, but it replaces this with the end steady state values. I'm looking to show my impulse responses as a deviation from the initial steady state, so the new values aren't very useful.

You could start your simulation with exogenous variables out of steady state at time t=2 instead of t=1. At time 1 your model should be in steady state and the corresponding steady state value in oo_.endo_simul.
