IRIS vs. Dynare

Postby Myggenx » Mon Sep 09, 2013 9:46 am

Hi there,

I've just recently begun using Matlab and need to install a module for economic modelling, mostly models concerning financial economics.

I understand that two most popular modules are Dynare and IRIS. Which one of these two options would you recommend to someone who doesn't have a lot of experience with Matlab, but does have experience with economic modelling? Which module is the most intuitive and easy to use? Any other pros & cons?

Thanks for your help!

Kind regards,
Markus
