Setting up on a Mac

Hi,

I am a new user to Dynare but have been using Matlab (student edition) for a while. I have downloaded the Dynare version 4.4.2 and is under Applications on my Mac. My question is whether I need to have the Dynare folder with all its subfolders in the original Matlab folder or can the two be kept separate?

Thanks,
Arjun Sondhi

You should keep both separate, but you have to add the Matlab subfolder of Dynare e.g. dynare/4.4.3/matlab to Matlab's Search Path.
