creating a steady state solve file

I would like to create a matlab file to compute the steady state of my DSGE model to use the values for Bayesian estimation of parameters and simulating some shocks. I know this is a thing that people do, but i literally have no idea where to begin. Any pointers or suggested resources would be greatly appreciated.
