jscale and gmhmaxlik

Postby measilva » Wed Nov 26, 2008 7:30 pm

Does anyone know how to turn in gmhmaxlik within the mod file? I am facing some issues with the acceptance ratio in my model. For really small changes in the mjscale the acceptance ratio goes from numbers bellow 10% to above 80%. It is kind of anoying to keep changing the mjscale everytime to get an acceptance ratio between 20 to 40%.

I have seen a previous post saying that gmhmaxlik can be used to do this "reverse" exercise, i.e., we set the target acceptance ratio that we want and then gmhmaxlik takes care of adjusting mjscale such that we get the target acceptance ratio.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks

I figured out. Just use mode_compute=6. This option triggers gmhmaxlik. :D
