warning for dynare 4.2.5

Postby sult » Wed Oct 17, 2012 7:32 pm

Detail description: I copied the two files example1.mod and example2.mod from C:\DYNARE\4.2.5\examples to a local directory and execute it from the matlab 7.14.0.739 and got the attached warning. I'm new to dynare. So if anybody knows how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Just ignore it or upgrade Dynare.

Thanks for you reply. I wish I can ignore it.
By any chance do you know which version of Dynare is good for the Matlab version 7.14.0.739?
Thanks again.

Always take the most recent stable one. Currently 4.3.1

Thanks again. Just wondering it's not a bug for this version of Dynare right?

No, it is just a warning of Matlab, that they have replaced an old command with a newer one. Future Matlab versions might not run with this old Dynare version if the old command used there is removed. However, newer Dynare versions already take into account this potential future issue with a deprecated command.
