How to forecast after estimation is done?

Postby use » Tue Dec 04, 2012 7:46 am

Dear All,

I have estimated the model using Bayesian estimation technique. Now I want to load the estimated mean and perform estimation at posterior mean. what command should I write?

Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
use

In that case, put forecast or a similar command into the estimation command. Note also that dynare sets the parameters to the posterior mode after estimation. Hence, stoch_simul after estimation is performed at the mode of the posterior distribution.
