two questions about the dynare results

Postby mayong1982 » Mon Aug 26, 2013 1:20 pm

dear everyone,

i have two questions when explaining the dynare results:

1/what is the automatic given level of confidence when dyanre produces the posterior estimation? more specificly, 5% or 10% along with the "conf. interval "?

2/why the posterior stardard deviation given by the dynare are always the same with the prior stardard deviation given by the author? i mean, why there is no difference between the prior and posterior stardard deviation?

here below present an example:

1. It is given by options_.mh_conf_sig which has default 0.9
2. Because the posterior standard deviation is not displayed, only the prior.

thanks, jpfeifer.
then how can we obtain the posterior deviation when using dynare?

As the square root of the variances stored in oo.posterior_variance. They are just not displayed by default.
