is timing the only reason of Blanchard Kahn conditions fail

Postby shuixing » Tue Dec 22, 2015 2:47 pm

hi, there
I LOOK FOR the problem of "Blanchard Kahn conditions are not satisfied: no stable equilibrium" in the forum, and found out that most of the answer is that a potential error in timing structure, and I want to konw whether this is the most likely reason in dynare for Blanchard Kahn conditions to be hold or not. thanks

In 9 out of 10 cases, the timing is the reason. The less common reasons are wrong parameter values and general mistakes in the equations.
