Basic Error (preprocessing failed)

Hi,

I'm using dynare 4.4.3 with Octave, I've added the path to c:\dynare\4.4.3\matlab and set my directory to c:\dynare\work (where my .mod files are).

When I enter dynare example1 I get the:

error: DYNARE preprocessing failed
error: called from
error: c:\dynare\4.4.3\matlab\dynare.m at line 173, column 5

And nothing else, any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

I've tried re-downloading both dynare and Octave but it didn't work.

That is strange. Your mod-file works without problems with Octave and Dynare 4.4.3 on my machine. Please try reinstalling Dynare.

As I said, I re-installed both Dynare and Octave.

I've just done so again, and have received the same error as before.

What does Octave return when you enter:

which dynare.m

and

Code: Select all

which dynare_m.exe
