linear model

Postby jmadeira » Sat Dec 29, 2007 1:49 pm

Hi,

I have already log-linearized my model by hand.
I wrote my mod file using "model (linear)".

But something is confusing me. In the user guide it says that we should repeat a letter for a variable (in order to mean difference from the steady state), but in the FAQs example given in this website variable letters are not repeated.

Anyone knows what is the best way to do this?

Best,
Joao

Hi:

I also got confused by the same thing. I think the author just meant to say that it is a convention for the particular program he is writing, not a "Dynare convention".

Hope this helps,
Jean-Paul
