Help!

Postby BARATTIE » Wed May 21, 2008 1:58 am

Dear All,

I'm relatively new to the use of dynare. I followed the user guide to write a simple code for a model which is not complicated (12 equation in 12 unknowns). However, it does not work. I inputed the log-linear version of the model, hence the steady state is zero for all the variables. but the output says

??? Index exceeds matrix dimensions...

I attach the code. Does somebody have any idea?

thanks
best

Hi Alessandro,

A semi colon was missing at the end of line 14.

Also do not use a matlab comment (%) in a mod file but a dynare comment (//), except in a line with matlab commands (a line without Dynare words or variables declared in your model).

With Dynare version 4 I found that there is a determinacy problem with your steady state (less unstable eigenvalues than forward looking variables). If the declared model is correct, you'll have to play with the calibration of the model....

Best,
Stéphane.
