Impluse Response Function

Postby mira » Thu Aug 14, 2008 5:49 pm

Hi,

I am trying to do the reverse exercise in Dynare: enter the impulse response functions for some variables (computed somewhere else) in the standard RBC model and get the implied model dynamics for the rest of the variables.

In order to check whether this is possible i entered the impulse responses for K (capital) and L(labor) which i calculated before using the standard method in dynare BUT i do not get back the same IRFs for the other endogenous variables.....

The question is : If I already have the IRFs (impluse response functions) for some variables and want to see what it implies for the dynamics of the whole model what do I do????/

Any help is greatly appreciated,

Mira
