Shock decomposition

Postby fabiac » Sun Jun 27, 2010 9:37 pm

Hi there,

What is the order of shocks and endogenous variables in the .mat file of the shock decomposition command? In addition, if the number of shocks is K, the file comes with K+2 variables in the shock-dimension. I figure one of them corresponds to the initial value. But what about the other? Thanks a lot, Fabia

I got the answer from Juillard. The first K variables are the values for each of the smoothed shocks. The K+1 correspond to the initial value. The K+2 refer to smoothed values.

And it's not a .mat file. It's in oo_.shock_decomposition
